We must humble ourselves before the Lord. Submitting to God involves trusting in Him, and when we trust in Him we will not be disappointed; He will exalt us, lift us up, and establish us in due time. Our children are our future. Our future depends on their success, goals, determination, and responsibility. In order for our children to acquire these qualities, as parents, we must train them up in the way they should go. We must be positive role models in their lives and we should nurture them with the knowledge and love of God. Join me as we explore a couple of passages in the book of Proverbs---the book of instruction and wisdom...on parenting and children.
Sometimes, we go through difficult times with friends. Sometimes, we may feel like we have no friends at all. But, we must realize that we always have a friend in Jesus. He is a true friend indeed! Join me as we explore a passage in the book of Proverbs and discover what a friend is, according to God.
We have not forgiven someone, if we tend to go back and relive the wrongdoing in our minds, or we end up holding a grudge. Our God is a forgiving God, and we should want to be forgiving people. Join me as we explore passages in the books of Leviticus, Colossians, and First Peter that explain how we are to forgive and get over whatever it is that has troubled us.
Sometimes, we get so busy in our everyday lives that we forget all about our Almighty God who is the very reason we are still here on Earth...alive and breathing. We allow worldly things to cloud our minds and distract us...taking our eyes off the prize. When we suddenly become separated from God, in some way, He still keeps loving us as if we never were separated from Him. Join me as we explore passages in the books of Hosea and Isaiah that tell us about God's healing love.

Have you let the state of feeling powerless get the best of you? Have you ever felt like everything was out of your control…your life, finances, people?, etc. Those of you who have experienced this feeling know just how weak and vulnerable you may seem during these times. But, if we would just turn to God for our source of strength, there would be no need to ever feel powerless, weak, or vulnerable. We are NEVER powerless with the Lord on our side! Join me as we explore a passage in the book of Isaiah to help us understand where we should get our source of strength from.
There are many places in the Bible that explain to couples the type of love and respect they should show each other. The best example of chivalry in the Bible is Jesus, who not only treated everyone He met with respect, but also put our needs above His own to be our Lord and Savior. Good character alone makes any man worthy of love. Simple acts of chivalry and courtesy shows respect. Men who practice this respectful behavior are much more engaging and appealing as potential mates. Old-fashioned etiquette will go a long way when winning over the heart of a lady. Join me as we explore a passage in Ephesians to enlighten us about uncommon courtesy----chivalry.
